Revision of company law as of 01.01.2023

Current company law stipulates that a GM must be held physically on a specific date at a specific location. But the classic GM is in a state of flux: the revision of company law will come into force on 1 January 2023. With this, the following GM forms, among others, become permissible:

  • Virtual GM
  • Hybrid GM
  • GM at several venues
  • GM abroad

In order for companies to be able to benefit from this revision already in 2023, they need to amend their own company statutes accordingly by the end of 2022.
