At the beginning of July, the largest folk festival in Switzerland – the Züri Fäscht – took place. To ensure that the 2.5 million visitors were always informed and safe around the Zurich lakeside, we supported the organising committee with LED walls and LED trailers that displayed safety-relevant information.
Central control possible
We developed a fully redundant control and monitoring interface for the entire installation. This meant that the walls could be accessed centrally at any time. Also the availability of all devices in the network was automatically and permanently monitored, so as to be able to react immediately to any hardware failures. In addition, each LED wall was monitored by its own camera in order to always transmit an overview of the effective status of the playout paths to the control room. So that the Züri Fäscht visitors were not dazzled by the LED walls at night, the brightness of the walls could also be continuously adjusted from the control centre to suit the light conditions.
The LED installations also served as a platform for sponsor appearances and were branded accordingly.
