In the spring of 2020, we organised the Opening Ceremony of the Youth Winter Olympics in Lausanne on behalf of Lausanne 2020. From the initial outline of the idea and on-site production through to billing, Habegger was responsible for the success of this media and cultural success.
With the help of 400 extras and 400 staff, we created a 90-minute multi-media spectacle. It not only exceeded the high expectations of the IOC, but also captivated the 9,000 spectators in the Vaudoise Arena as well as the public at home watching the event on TV. Thanks to the use of every available technology such as drones, lighting, mobile stage elements and special effects, we were able to create an emotional Opening Cere-mony of an international standard that communicated the youthful and innovative character of the 2020 Youth Olympic Games to the world through spectacular images.
