GF Piping Systems is the global expert in the secure and reliable transport of water, chemicals and gases. The company specialises in piping systems made from plastic and system solutions with service covering all project phases. GF Piping Systems wanted to offer visitors to its company headquarters in Schaffhausen a lasting and educational experience. As part of the redesign of the spacious entrance hall, the brief therefore also included the development and integration of a product showcase. Directly adjacent to the entrance hall, there was also to be an exhibition area featuring a tour of the plant which would also be connected to the visitor experience.
Habegger realised right from the start that, in order to not only showcase GF Piping Systems’ work, but also communicate what it actually does, a carefully thought-out guided tour for visitors was needed. An LED installation hanging from the ceiling was chosen as the central element to symbolise the pipes and pipelines that are frequently used by GF Piping Systems. The luminous rings, lined up in a row, form a channel from the entrance to the end of the hall, allowing the viewer’s gaze to wander. Spread throughout the room, specially developed exhibits present the complex solutions from GF Piping Systems: on the one hand, the areas of application that customers are familiar with are shown, while on the other, visitors are given an insight into the part of the product that is normally hidden behind a wall. Finally, at the other end of the hall, in the specially designed video lounge, a digital demonstration invites visitors to take a tour of the factory.
The result is a multi-layered visitor journey that conveys knowledge and enthusiasm for innovative technology – and thus ensures lasting impressions.
