The Utility Company of the City of Zurich (Elektrizitätswerk der Stadt Zürich – ewz) invited its colleagues to its annual information event in 2020 – but this time, it was held digitally, due to the situation with Covid-19. Colleagues were informed about ewz’s current challenges and goals as part of an innovative online event. Habegger was commissioned to develop the virtual event and to implement it from start to finish.
Ewz’s goal and requirement was to create an event that provided information and illustrated content with attractive graphic and film elements. On this basis, and after extensive brainstorming, Habegger developed a studio event in close cooperation with ewz in which some of the speakers were connected remotely. One week before the event, however, the Corona situation worsened, and the company switched to a completely virtual concept. Only the moderator and the technical crew were present in the studio, while all the speakers were connected individually for interviews, or synchronously for discussions. Over 800 ewz colleagues experienced an entertaining and innovative information event.
Habegger’s diverse range of services made it possible to offer a one-stop service that encompassed all stages of production – from conception and content production, including scriptwriting, to the technical implementation.
Habegger successfully managed to create an event factor, despite the virtual setting.
