In 2018 we were allowed to redesign the demo room of Glas Trösch Holding AG in Bützberg. Previously, the room served as a transition point to their training centre. Glas Trösch wanted to make use of this situation and present their product, the glass, more prominently in this place. The room itself was already stocked with individual exhibition products that had not yet been staged or organised according to a clear sequence.
For this assignment, our project team developed the scenographic spatial concept and created the exhibits with their versatile facets. We also took on responsibility for the construction of the exhibits and the new interior design.
Today, the demo room shines with a new splendour and has been converted into a playground with a practical application and possibilities for experimentation. A small cinema with an image film welcomes the visitors. Then they are invited into the world of different basic materials from glassmaking and can test the load capacity of the glass in different ways. A test of courage was even developed for the adventurous visitors: a parcour course where visitors walk over bending glass panes. After passing the test, they win a code that opens the door to the spectacular Hall of Mirrors.
