It’s all about entertainment

Habegger | 16 December 2024

First-class entertainment is the key to transforming a corporate event into an unforgettable experience. But what makes for successful entertainment? These three tips will show you how to create highlights.

Let me entertain you

Before the details of the event are discussed in depth, it is crucial to define the type of entertainment. A simple but effective question helps here: “What is the goal and purpose of the event?” This step is particularly important as it encourages you to link the content messages with the entertainment, creating a common thread for the event and allowing the entertainment to be integrated harmoniously. Because one thing is certain: not every type of entertainment is suitable for every event.

The unexpected

It is almost impossible to attend an event without preconceived ideas or expectations – these can vary depending on the person and the occasion. As an organiser, this is a major challenge to meet all the expectations of the event participants. An effective way to counteract this factor is the unexpected. Even a small, surprising element that deviates from the usual expectations – be it through special costumes, exceptional catering or innovative visuals – can make the event unforgettable for the participants. And the best thing: even with a smaller budget, exciting formats can be created that are sure to amaze.

Balance is the key

Too many entertainment factors during an event can quickly overwhelm guests and lead to sensory overload. To avoid this, certain breaks between programme items are recommended. This holds the attention of the event participants for longer and the event can be enjoyed to the full. Because sometimes: less is more.
