We are a “Great Place to Work®” for our employees once again in 2022. A valuable award that fills us with even more pride, given the current situation.
The past two years have not been easy for our employees. The uncertain future and the reduced working hours demanded a great deal from them. Nevertheless, our CEO Jürg Schwarz decided to once again conduct a “Great Place to Work®” survey in November 2021: “We were aware that the survey was taking place at a difficult time. Yet it is crucial for us to also be an attractive employer under such conditions.”
The result: an outstanding response rate of 91%. The workforce particularly appreciated the handling of the topics inclusion, innovation and the flow of information on the part of the management crew during the coronavirus pandemic.
“It is especially pleasing that 90% of the employees view Habegger as a place where they can be themselves and where innovative actions and the development of new products and working methods are encouraged,” says Jürg Schwarz.
Nevertheless, there are areas that were rated less highly by the employees. As a result, various measures are planned in the short and long term: for instance, a new communication and collaboration platform was implemented at the beginning of February and is now being expanded. Personnel development is also being driven forward and investments are being made in the technological infrastructure.
Jürg Schwarz: “Our employees are on fire for their passion – live communication. My job is to offer them the ideal working environment so that this flame is never extinguished.”
Every two years, Habegger takes a close look at its own working environment together with “Great Place to Work®” – with the aim of identifying optimisation potential in order to remain an attractive employer in future, too. As part of the assessment, around 130 employees take part in a questionnaire, and an audit is conducted by external experts.
