Whether Swisscom, Swiss RE or Clariant – spring was the most important time of the year for public limited companies: the time of the annual general meetings.
“AGM season”, as it is known internally at Habegger, reached its peak at the beginning of April. Agenda item after agenda item was read out, shareholders applied to speak and exercised their right to do so. In the background: the crew from Habegger.
Important communication tool
“Even though an AGM takes place every year, it is individual each time,” explains project manager Isabella Skibinski. For some years now, she says, companies have recognised that it is not just a compulsory event, but also an important communication platform. As a result, hardly any AGMs today do without an impressive stage set and a meticulously timed script – plus the corresponding dramaturgy.

Leaving nothing to chance
But it is not just the storyline and the visuals that are important. The security and guarantee that everything will run smoothly, both organisationally and technically, are crucial. Isabella: “Technical errors during voting can have serious consequences, such as the AGM having to be repeated.” For this reason, she says, it is important that public limited companies can rely on professional service providers. “Our team leaves nothing to chance, and works closely with our partners who specialise in the share register,” the experienced project manager adds.

The future firmly in sight
Habegger has already been conducting AGMs for renowned companies for around 20 years – in a physical, hybrid format. And the journey continues: this year we will also hold our first purely virtual AGM for a large internationally active Swiss company.
As well as a complete package, we also offer modular services. Our experts from the fields of project management, creation, event technology and construction take the client’s needs as a basis and transform them into a successful general meeting.
