From September to December 2024, 10 new talents and 1 returnee from various fields started at Habegger. All of them bring a variety of expertise to the table - in project management, in the warehouse, in creation and in event technology. We are very happy that you are with us!
We spoke to some of them - find out who our new experts are and what inspires them.
Having grown up in Spiez, the versatile project coordinator moved to Zurich at an early age – long before the Seaside Festival. Her enthusiasm for the event world was always present: the people behind the scenes, the dynamics within the productions and the magic of creating unforgettable experiences. After informative years in small agencies, Andrea was looking for a challenge with a large, structured service provider and worked at Habegger until 2023. After a short detour, she returned: “The change was good, but I missed the people and the diversity of the projects.” She loves the strong sense of togetherness on productions – almost like in a family. She also regularly spoils the team with her culinary creations.
The trained garden and landscape designer has lived in Switzerland since 2001 and worked at Orgatent for 21 years. The sporty logistician got to know Habegger during international sports productions – a collaboration characterised by team spirit and cohesion that could be felt even after 16-hour days. While he was self-employed, André supported us as a freelancer until one thing finally led to another: Born in Magdeburg, he has been working in the warehouse and as an event logistician on projects since December. “It’s good to have a regular daily routine, to enjoy productions without constantly living out of a suitcase.” He particularly appreciates the variety of his tasks, the organisation of materials from electronics to furniture and the opportunity to play an active role in shaping day-to-day business.
Daniel gained many years of experience in event management at Swiss RE and UBS Investment Banking before moving to the agency side (Andreas Messerli AG, Hauser & Partner AG) . “The variety of projects and the opportunity to surprise customers with unusual ideas make my work exciting.” With his extensive expertise in project management, he oversees corporate events such as annual general meetings, employee events and anniversaries. The sporty project manager has already worked with Habegger on several events in previous positions, gaining valuable insights into the professional and complex processes at the Hallenstadion, Habegger’s partner venue. Born in Graubünden, he enjoys spending his free time in the mountains cross-country skiing, snowboarding or biking.
From her apprenticeship as a civil engineering draughtswoman to the news world at Blick and the event industry at Habegger: Melina is passionate about media and film, but her heart beats for directing. She came into contact with Habegger via the Goldener Koch awards, submitted an speculative application – and her first week was already a highlight. “Being at Weltklasse Zürich with Malik, experiencing everything backstage and being actively involved was simply WOW.” She loves variety: office work, customer appointments, on-site assignments – and the opportunity to create emotional, lasting experiences, whether digital or live. The young show caller enjoys horse riding and cheerleading as a break from her work.
Michael, a trained multimedia electronics technician, worked at Sennheiser for 20 years before taking a brief detour into the construction industry. However, the family man, amateur chef and keen concert-goer was looking for more variety in his job. As a father of two, he prioritises family life – with a maximum workload of 60% – and the job advertisement at Habegger did not initially match his percentage expectations. He took the plunge, contacted HR anyway, and the application process was lightning fast. Today, the multimedia expert works three days a week, takes care of maintenance and repairs in the warehouse and continues to expand the repair workshop. “An employer like Habegger is unique – I can pursue my passion and have enough time for my family.
Nicholas’ CV reads like a rock’n’roll fairytale. The passionate videographer worked in the music industry for almost 20 years, touring with stars such as Elton John, Metallica and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. His personal highlight: seven years on tour with the Rolling Stones. “Working with Mick Jagger or having a beer with him was sensational.” As a video expert, Nicholas has experienced the development from analogue video production to digitalisation at first hand. He grew up in a suburb of Chicago and studied film at Purdue University’s Elliott Hall of Music. In 2014, he moved to London for love, and in 2018 they moved to Switzerland together. The family man and father of two has worked with our long-standing internal experts Tomy and Nathi for many years. Today, he passes on his knowledge to the young video team and enjoys helping to shape the video area.
In the interview, our new colleagues were asked: Describe Habegger in three words. We would like to thank you for the wonderful descriptions and are delighted to have you on the Habegger team.
Our team will continue to broaden in the future, as we are always on the lookout for exceptional personalities for live communication.
Every two years, Habegger takes a close look at its own working environment together with “Great Place to Work®”, with the aim of identifying optimisation potential in order to remain an attractive employer in the future, too. In 2024, we have once again received the award for an optimal working environment.
